*tosses the dragon thing out a window* o.o I think the board-death happens because of events that seem to be common in everyone's lives. like christmas stuff and school finals o.o as long as we can survive the times of board death then it'll be ok

Yeah. I wasn't expecting everyone to be mega-active; I've been busy myself. But board death makes me sad. ;_;

I work at Gamestop, for those of you that don't know, and so does Adam. Today he calls me ( which prompted me to finally get out of bed ) and tells me that a gundam crossfire towel ( a PS3 game ) came in and that they saved it for me. isn't that nice? i'm a huge gundam fan so it was the only recourse. =3

Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb suck at/already hate gundam. they gavce encounters in space a 2 out of 5. that game was one of my favorite games for a long time. they said a lot of lies about it, like the difficult control scheme and lack of directions? there's a tutorial that's 5 levels long if you do the whole thing. they complained about lock on difficulty which is bull. only in 2 player versus can it be hard to find the opponent. also i noted that in their clips they were often close to death. on easy missions too. i loved that game. i don't believe a word they say.

Alot of game reviewers will give games a bad review just because of personal preference. There've been games that got terrible reviews that I've absolutely loved.

I actually ( while watching an episode of x-play ) started writing myself an angry e-mail then it wound up turning into a formatted, critical review of video game review, and how i believe it can be improved. x-play is just a show, and quite frankly the ONLY video game review show. that one with tommy tallarico was bull. he hated the music in katamari damacy. enough said. x-play is formatted more around entertainment than information. in my opinion you should have a TEAM of reviewers with their own expertises like a news show. you have your main two or three anchors, your sports guy, the weather guy, etc. i hate racing and sports games. so if i reviewed one i'd not give it as good a score as someone who loved them would. i ROCK at action adventure type games and RPGs. gimme one of those and i'll play it and enjoy it more than a sports nut would. so i think in order to get a proper review, you should have at least 2 people who are from that field review the game, as well as 2 people who aren't. let's just say i was reviewing a game that was in my field and i gave it a 9. same with the other guy. the two people who, let's just say liked sports, averaged a 7. that averages out to an 8 from the entire team. that is NOT bad. and there are things to consider, things that can objectively be considered. such as "would FANS of whatever this is based around enjoy it alone or can anyone enjoy it?" also, give it an iron chef style for points. graphics, sound, relevance, ease of control/learning curve, etc. etc. and allow the reviewers to portion out the points then add it up with their personal opinion points. you know what? I don't think I want to play a game that can be summed up in less than 30 seconds. put some effort into reviewing it. okay, if it's a really sucky game then it should actually make the review easier. give it low points on the chart and you don't have to get creative with the negatives. I CARE about video games. it's an art form, and quite frankly people have been saying some very unkind things. you know what? people used to blame music for violence, before that and after that they blamed tv shows, before that comics and radio, etc. etc. everyone wants to blame someone for the stupid actions of the few, and you know what? video games aren't just for kids. we have ratings systems for a reason. you want games for kids? okay, pick up the ones that are EC and E. early childhood and everyone. also E10+. guess what, if your kid can play M rated games it's your fault. they say RIGHT ON THE COVER what it's rated. would you let your kids watch something called milf and cookies? no? then take responsibility and quit whining. if you don't like adult entertainment then get over it and don't watch it. if you don't like video games then get over them and don't play them. videogames do NOT cause violence. and you know what? they don't train violence either. do you know what most serial killers do before moving on to people? they mutilate animals. what teaches that? nothing! who do you blame for that? why not the person? hillary clinton, go to hell. ebert and roeper? you're going with her. your entire job is based around OPINION and most people don't share your opinion, so that doesn't really make you that important, does it?
sorry for the big schpiel, guys. I work at Gamestop because I like games. I hate customers because I work at gamestop. I wish for once people would google what's on their christmas list before they ask me what it is. it's not that hard. i like helping people, I really do, but half of you guys suck....not YOU guys. the customers. >_>

I always try to be as nice and un-bothersome to the employees at stores for that very reason. Y'all have enough to worry about without one more nubcake for a customer.

see, i don't mind helping people who don't insist they know something when they don't, and they're nice about it. there was this little girl who was in the store yesterday who was throwing a pregnant dogfit and fake crying. she was trying to take things off the shelves and throw them too. her mother didn't do anything. the brother though, grabbed her by the wrist and scolded her, saying that people worked hard to put things up right on the shelves. i liked that kid.

Good kid! I put things back on the shelves myself when browsing, but I put them back just where I found them. And people who put gamecube games in the playstation section are, well, retarded.

the one place i can kind of understand just leaving things where you were looking at them is a bookstore. because their sections are more confusing. but if you remember where you got it, then put it back there.
