Alright, I've been working on my armor and I've found a way to attach things together for the workable stage through completion. And it's been going well. I just need to make my torso armor to continue, and that's coming soon. But here's one thing I don't know how to do....Wigs. I got my wig for Jiraiya, and I have my headband that I made...and now i'm lost. I can't put the stupid thing on with my headband. I'm just lost and need help at this point

How are you currently getting your headband onto your head? That could be the problem. Also, I'm not sure how, but try stretching out the wig a little bit. Alot of wigs come with elastic hooky-doos (that's a technical term, by the way XD) that are used to tighten the wig for people with small heads. The thing is, I don't know anyone who has a small enough head that they actually need the things. o___O Try looking for any of those, and if you see any, unhook them. That should help, too.

My head is huge...To get a friend's cosplay made, I went down to a BMX shop and had him try on a helmet, he needed an XL size to fit him. My other friend needed an XL as well. I tried it on...and it didn't fit....so we went for the XXL ....it didn't fit...I come to find out that the largest size they come in is XXXXL so at the very least i need an XXXL sized helmet. okay, I'll look for those hookydoodles. The way I'm getting on my headband is a buckle in the back. you know those buckles that come on straps on backpacks? one looks like a square with two bites taken out and one has three prongy things? That's what I have in the back of it. o.o here's an early pic of it. But it's pretty much the same size and shape and how it fits on me. I need to extend the straps a little bit to allow for the wig as well.

Ah. I hate to break it to you, but you'll probably have to come up with something else. ^^;;; Wigs fit really tight anyways, so it'll be quite a stretch to get it to fit you as it is. My suggestion would be a cloth headband made of simple red solid material. It'll stay on well enough, believe me. If you do need extra support, just use some spirit gum on the part that stays on your forehead. That should help... those clippy things are awfully bulky and will make it even harder to get the wig on, especially since you have to put your hair up in it too.

Actually, I can get the wig and the headband on at the same time. the hooky doodles aren't hooked. From what I can tell, I need to get the hair on the front of the wig clipped off, but i'm no wig expert so i don't need to ruin that hair. Then I need to get jiraiya's bang things added on. I figure I can hide the buckle with some hair on the back, but I'll need someone's help to hold up just enough for me to get the buckle under it, fasten it, then let it down. So that problem is probably fine. I refuse to have a bad headband. I hate polyester ninjas, and I can't stand things made out of felt or bad material when they don't need to be. My buckle and straps are pretty sturdy and I know I can get the wig and the headband on at the same time, but like i said, this wig is specifically for jiraiya so the bangs on it have to go and then the problem should be solved. I took a picture and When I get a chance I'll post it so you can see. pretty much nomatter what i'll need someone to help me craft this wig. It has to be cut, I need to get at least 1 stub added to attatch the pony tail, and maybe 2 more in front if possible for the bangs. I think stubbing might be best for the bangs instead of extensions, cuz the hair would just get lost in the rest of the mass of the wig, i think. or i could just have them separated with little rubber bands if they're extensions, but either way it's not my expertise. I have no idea how to do either ^_^* hearing about it on katie baire's site is one thing, but actually having the FINISHED tutorials and knowing what the hell she's talking about would be nice...

Hmmmm. It's kind of hard to envision, just hearing about it. I'll have to see a pic, and then we'll see what we can come up with. ^__^
